Brett co-founded Growth Acceleration Partners with Joyce Durst because of his passion for driving top-line growth and improved profitability for all kinds of businesses. He focuses on Outsourcing and Search Engine Marketing.

Before founding Growth Acceleration Partners, Brett was Senior Vice President, Products and Strategy for Vignette Corporation in Austin, the market leader in Web Content Management software. At Vignette he drove significant increases in product-license bookings growth, restructured their product portfolio to improve profitability, and increased customer satisfaction and quality by enhancing their product-development and release process.

Prior to joining Vignette, Brett spent 20 years in the software industry in Silicon Valley. There he led a $100M division of Fair Isaac Corporation that provided industry leading decision-management software, analytics, and consulting services.

Before Fair Isaac, Brett co-founded and was president of MS2, a venture-back enterprise software company. MS2 developed the first stage-gate automation application and led the creation of a new market category called PLM (Product Lifecycle Management). Agile Software acquired MS2 in 2003.

Prior to MS2 Brett held General Management positions with Oracle, Rational Software, and Informix. Earlier in his career he lead Product Management for NeXT Computer, was a consultant with McKinsey & Company, and a computer designer for Data General Corporation.

He earned an MBA from Harvard, and a BSEECS degree from MIT.

Brett resides in downtown Austin and plays an active role in the Austin community. He serves as President of the 5 Fifty Five Homeowners Association Board of Directors, Treasurer of the Austin Convention Condominium Association Board of Directors, and as a member of the Advisory Board of the Austin Museum of Art.
