Liz Darling has over 20 years of senior marketing and sales experience in multiple industries including high tech, health care, defense (aerospace) and services. She focuses on Growth Acceleration Partners’ Management Consulting and Go-To-Market practices.
As the Vice President of Marketing for the $1.2B business and technical services company of Royal Dutch Shell and a Director of Product Marketing and Management at Compaq Computer Corporation (now Hewlett-Packard Company) she introduced and managed numerous market-leading global enterprise and client hardware and software products and technical and business services and was part of the management team for multiple start-up business divisions. Liz was part the management team that brought the first Compaq printers and workstations to market. Complementing her Fortune 200 corporate experience, Liz has consulted in the start-up environment and has acted as executive director of a non-profit. Liz brings experience from a strategic level of developing the corporate vision or strategic intent and prioritizing new market opportunities to executing the tactics required to support business, product and marketing communications strategies. Liz complements these capabilities with expertise in marketing communications and promotions; market research; strategic alliances; channel strategies; positioning and branding; personnel and budget management; forecasting and pricing; and sales. Liz has also held senior marketing positions with Martin Marietta Corp. (Lockheed Martin Corp.), American Hospital Supply Corp. (Baxter Healthcare) and Dell Inc. She has consulted on marketing principles, marketing communications, branding and naming, business plan development, product management and marketing and channel strategies for small- to medium-sized personal computer software and hardware, managed hosting, nanotechnology, medical device, manufacturing logistics, temporary employment services, management software and IT infrastructure management companies. Liz has a BA in Journalism with a major in advertising from Louisiana State University.
